Bibliothek → “Dateien importieren” opens audio and moonloop packages. In Studio, you can also open local videos or record for up to three minutes. Web links and content from streaming services are not imported.

Only use and share content for which you have the necessary rights.

Tap a sound, select its start and end, then save the clip. “Ganze Datei” uses the full source without a crossfade. Each clip is a separate file; the original is retained.

A crossfade shortens the loop by its duration. To open a new source, turn off “Weiteren Ausschnitt erstellen” before saving, or discard the draft.

Use + to add sounds to the mixer. Set volume individually for each sound. Speed and the timer apply to the whole mix; the selected repeat count applies to every sound. Gentle variation changes the volume of the entire mix slowly and randomly. The star saves the mix; favourites can also be started with Apple Shortcuts.

Stop the mix before changing its sounds.

The library has search, filters and sorting. A sound’s menu lets you rename, assign collections and share. “Auswählen” lets you select several sounds. Share audio files or moonloop packages containing sound and trim information. Packages can be imported back into moonloop. Exporting a rendered audio file of the entire mix is not supported.

Connect the speaker in iOS and select it in the output picker. iOS manages the shared audio output; moonloop cannot route other apps independently to a second output.

Saved sounds play offline, in the background and with the screen locked. Recording ends when you leave Studio or put the app in the background.

3 minutes per microphone recording.

Clips

Up to the full source duration. A supported format and sufficient free storage are required.

Sharing

100 MiB of audio per selection. Each moonloop package must also be no larger than 100 MiB including metadata.

Playback

Mix timer: 1–180 minutes. Alternatively, 1–999 repeats per sound. Shared speed: 0.5×–2×.

moonloop does not include a preinstalled sound collection. Fill the library with your own recordings and imported files.

If there is no sound, check output and volume. For import errors, check the file format and available storage. Microphone access is in iOS Settings. Export important sounds using Share before deleting the app.
